Frequently Asked Questions

Reflexology is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that involves the stimulation of specific reflex points on the feet, hands, or face. These reflex points correspond to different organs and systems in the body. By working on these points, reflexology helps support the body's natural ability to restore balance, relieve tension, improve circulation, and promote overall physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Each treatment is tailored to your individual needs, creating a deeply relaxing and restorative experience.

During your first session, we'll begin with a short consultation to discuss your health, lifestyle, and any specific concerns. This helps me tailor the treatment to your individual needs. You'll then be invited to relax on a comfortable recliner chair while I work on your reflex points — on the feet, face, or hands depending on your chosen treatment.

Most clients find the treatment deeply relaxing, and many even drift off to sleep! Sessions typically last around 50 minutes, and afterwards you may feel a sense of calm, lightness, and overall wellbeing. I'll also give you guidance on aftercare to help you get the most benefit from your treatment.

Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. For foot reflexology, you'll simply need to remove your shoes and socks so I can access your feet. For facial reflexology, please avoid dangly earrings or necklaces, as I need access to your neck and décolletage. Loose, comfortable clothing is ideal for all treatments.

Most treatments last approximately 50 minutes, although some specialised sessions, such as extended menopause reflexology or Zone Face Lift Deluxe, may last up to 80 minutes. This allows enough time for a thorough, deeply relaxing, and personalised experience.

Most clients feel deeply relaxed, calm, and revitalised after a session. You may notice a sense of lightness, reduced tension, and improved mood. Some people experience temporary effects such as mild fatigue, light-headedness, or emotional release — this is a natural part of the body rebalancing itself.

It's recommended to drink plenty of water and allow yourself a little time to rest and enjoy the benefits of your treatment.

The number of sessions depends on what you'd like to achieve. Many clients book regular foot or facial reflexology to support a specific concern, such as stress, tension, or menopausal symptoms. Others enjoy treatments as part of their ongoing wellbeing routine, using reflexology to relax, rebalance, and maintain overall health.

Most clients notice benefits after just one session, but the best results come from a course tailored to your individual needs. If you're having a Zone Face Lift, a full course is recommended for maximum facial lifting and sculpting results, though many still enjoy single treatments for a refreshing glow.

Yes, reflexology can be safe during pregnancy when carried out by a trained practitioner, but certain precautions are taken. I offer reflexology for pregnancy after the first trimester, and treatments are adapted to ensure comfort and safety for both you and your baby.

Reflexology during pregnancy can help reduce stress, ease tension, support circulation, and relieve common pregnancy discomforts, such as swollen feet or tired legs. However, if you have any complications or concerns, it's always best to check with your healthcare provider before booking a session.
